Summer has finally arrived! Now that we are through the auction,
it’s a great time for us to grow the club. Thank you to all of the
members of the membership committee that are working hard to grow
our club to 100 by October 1st. Let’s help them out by
bringing a guest!
My promise to the club is that I will follow up
with any guest you invite to make sure they feel welcome. We want
to make sure that these folks understand what Kiwanis is all about.
An upcoming event that we can all start getting
excited about is the September 12th Kite Fly. Chuck
Campbell is working hard to make this the best one ever. We will
once again be having our Kite Fly in conjunction with the Harvest
Festival.

Help Me!...
Support Kids with MD!
This year on Thursday, July 16th I will be involved in
the 2009 Twin Ports Lock Up for MDA, at the Depot.
I’m
asking you now for your donation! Just a dollar or two will be a
huge help for kids with MD
If
I raise $85 it will support 1 minute of research.
Every $800 we raise will
send one child with MD to summer camp.
And $2000 will help a
family with wheelchair assistance, leg-braces, or communication
devices.
Raising $3000 earns a
backstage pass to the local MDA Labor Day Telethon on WDIO Channel
10 with an opportunity to present a check on behalf of our Kiwanis
Club of Friendly Duluth for the funds raised live on the air!
What a great opportunity to get our
club in the public eye, and maybe get a few new members?
I have never done this
before and I’m looking forward of representing our club and to being
locked up and soliciting funds from all my Kiwanis friends!! Yes, I
will be calling you!
Thank you!
Carol Snoeyenbos
Bring a
friend to lunch!
Be the next to bring in a new
member!
Don't forget to invite a friend every week!!
Tricia will have new cards ready for you by our next
meeting.

Thank "YOU"
for bringing a guest!
A huge thank you to the Kiwanians who brought guests and
prospective members to our June meetings!
