Kiwanians by and large are a pretty positive group, would you agree?   But even when you are thoroughly committed to staying positively focused, life can get in the way.  Though we may have the best of intentions, there will be times when we veer off course as a result of our own actions.

When that happens, don't beat yourself up about it. Just recognize it, accept it, learn from it, and get moving again in a positive direction.  Winners and losers both stumble. The difference is, winners have learned to quickly get back up.

If you make a mistake, or lose your temper, or allow yourself to become distracted, it's normal and natural, and not the end of the world. Though it is painful when you've disappointed yourself or others, you have the opportunity to make something positive out of that pain.

It is healthy and mature to realize and admit when we may have done something that was not the best choice.  But we can move forward with a renewed and stronger determination.

When you know you've stumbled, decide to recover quickly.  Soon you'll be moving ahead even faster than before and even better prepared for the choices that lie ahead.   Lord, help me to be real.  Help me to admit when I have made a mistake, ask for forgiveness and move ahead in a positive direction.  I'm sorry that I spend any of my time 'meditating' on things that ultimately bring me and others down.
I know I can be free from anxiety when I focus my pondering in your direction.
I thank you that many of your greatest commands are to simply focus my mind, heart and soul on you!  Amen.
